From Doubt to Light

Image
--- Scene:  At quiet school courtyard. Two students sit under a tree, discussing. Pastor Akinyemi walks in slowly . Tunde: (shaking his head) I still don’t believe everything in the Bible is true. Some of it just sounds… unrealistic. Bola: I’m not saying it’s all false, but… how can we be sure? There are too many doubts. Pastor Akinyemi: (smiling calmly) Doubt is not your enemy… but staying in doubt is dangerous. Tunde: Sir, with all due respect, how do you expect us to believe stories we didn’t witness? Pastor Akinyemi: You believe history, don’t you? You believe in things you never saw—because there is evidence. The Bible is not just a storybook… it is a living truth. Bola: But sir… what if it’s been changed over time? Pastor Akinyemi: (steps closer, gently) The Word of God says, “Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.” Truth does not expire. It endures. Tunde: But miracles? Do they still happen today? Pastor Akinyemi: (leans forward, vo...

Theological solution to Nigerian challenges

Image
Nigeria’s challenges are corruption, insecurity, poverty, ethnic division, and moral declination. These are often treated as purely political or economic problems but, in theology, regarded as spiritual and moral issues, rooted in the human heart, a broken systems, and distorted values. Theological response doesn’t replace policy but, reshapes the foundation on which solutions are built. Let’s get into a grounded, practical theological framework. Christian theology teaches that society reflects the condition of the human heart  “The heart is deceitful above all things, and it is exceedingly perverse and corrupt and severely, mortally sick! Who can know it [perceive, understand, be acquainted with his own heart and mind]? ( Jeremiah 17:9).  Corruption, greed, injustice are not just systemic failures but, manifestations of sin. While corruption is as a result of institutionalized greed. In Nigeria, ethnic conflict due to failure of love and unity without neglecting increa...

The Cross: Where Forgiveness Meets Terror

Image
Introduction In Nigeria, where terror has caused pain and fear, the cross of Jesus Christ shines with a different kind of power – the power of forgiveness. Today, we look at the cross, where forgiveness meets terror, and see God's call to repentance. The Terror of the Cross Jesus was crucified between two criminals, surrounded by hatred and violence (Matthew 27:38). This was a moment of extreme terror, much like the fear caused by terrorism in Nigeria. Forgiveness on the Cross Yet, in this moment, Jesus said, "Father, forgive them; for they do not know what they are doing" (Luke 23:34). Even as nails pierced His hands, Jesus forgive. God's Mercy for All The Bible says, "The Lord... is patient toward you, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance" (2 Peter 3:9). This includes terrorists in Nigeria. A Call to Repentance Terrorism brings darkness, but God's forgiveness on the cross brings light. Today, Jesus calls terroris...

Heaven Stands With the Righteous

Image
Beloved,  Are you aware that standing for righteousness, is never in vain. Though the road may seem lonely, painful, and misunderstood but, God sees, knows, and sufficiently enough to deliver His faithful ones from obstacles on their path to good success. Onto as many that, await His unfailing salvation. The pioneer of Mobile gospel ministry is offering, this divine assurance. Am trying to let you realize that, what am preaching is not a suggestion but, a divine assurance. When ever you stand for truth in a world that celebrates compromise, heaven stands with you. Examples Of Our Heroes Of Faith, Joseph  Chosen righteousness over sin, even when tempted in secret. He was falsely accused, imprisoned, and forgotten—but God did not abandon him. In due time, God lifted him from the prison to the palace (Genesis 39...

THE KING WHO WOULD NOT BOW!

Image
In the ancient land of Aramelle, there ruled a king named Aderon. His palace touched the clouds, his armies filled valleys, and his treasures glittered like stars. Yet his heart was harder than the iron gates of his throne room. Prophets came to him. A poor widow stood before him with tears. A shepherd boy sang warnings in the streets. A traveling preacher cried, “Turn, O king! Pride leads to destruction. Mercy waits for you.” But King Aderon laughed. “Repent? I am king. I answer to no one.” Years passed. His pride grew like a mountain. He silenced the prophets, mocked the prayers of the righteous, and trusted only his crown. Then one night, without trumpet or warning, death came. His crown fell. His breath left. His body lay cold. And Aderon awoke… in darkness. Flames rose like angry waves. Voices cried in regret. Chains clanged like thunder. The king screamed, “Where is my throne? Where are my guards?” A voice answered from the fire, “Your throne was mercy. You refused it.” He ...

Faith That Overcomes

Image
Pioneer of Mobile gospel ministry Pastor Akinyemi S Olatokunbo, welcome our audience, across the globe. Onto one of our epistle blog titled, obstacle on the path of spiritual awakening. To come and find enough strength in God's unwavering Presence. In the face of adversity, we often find ourselves asking, "Can I really overcome this?" The answer lies not in our own strength, but in the unshakeable foundation of our faith. The Bible is replete with examples of individuals who, despite seemingly insurmountable challenges, chose to trust in God's sovereignty and emerged victorious. Abraham, Moses, David, and countless others demonstrate that faith is not the absence of fear, but the courage to trust in God's goodness and power. When we face trials, we're tempted to focus on the problem rather than the Problem-Solver. Yet, Scripture reminds us that "with God, all things are possible" (Matthew 19:26). Our faith is not a magic wand, but a powerful tool tha...
