How to avoid distraction during Christmas festivity

Welcome to a blog titled, “obstacle on the path of spiritual awakening”. Today we will be examining how to maintain spiritual growth amidst festive distractions requires intention and mindfulness, just like the apostle Paul wrote, "I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship." (Romans 12:1)

Hi,

Here are some tips to help you stay on track:

- Set your mind on things above: Colossians 3:2 reminds us to "Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things." Prioritize your spiritual growth and focus on God.

- Pray without ceasing: 1 Thessalonians 5:17 says, "pray without ceasing." Make prayer a constant conversation with God, especially during busy times.

- Seek solitude: like our Lord Jesus often withdrew to solitary places to pray (Luke 5:16). Find a quiet space to connect with God amidst the chaos.

- Focus on what's eternal: 2 Corinthians 4:18 reminds us to "fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal."

- Practice gratitude: 1 Thessalonians 5:18 says, "give thanks in all circumstances." Focus on the good things in your life and thank God.

- Stay rooted in God's word: Psalm 119:11 says, "I have hidden your word in my heart so that I might not sin against you." Meditate on scripture to stay grounded.
